WPS has become a founding member of Improving Lives Plymouth’s 110 Club. As part of this club we are committing to supporting the charity and the thousands of people it helps each year.

Improving Lives Plymouth 110 Club

Improving Lives Plymouth is a charity local to WPS. They provide information, advice and support for people with disabilities and long-term health conditions. Originally formed in 1907 as Plymouth Guild, they have been operating for over 110 years hence the evolution of their 110 Club.

Steve Rowlands, MD of WPS commented – “We are very pleased to have joined the 110 Club of Improving Lives Plymouth. A long established charity and loyal clients of WPS for many years, the work that the charity does is very worthwhile. We hope that this initiative raises the profile of Improving Lives Plymouth and we look forward to meeting our fellow Club 110 co-sponsors at events and to working with the team at Improving Lives Plymouth.

At WPS we like to support local charities as much as we can, and the fact that Improving Lives Plymouth are longstanding clients of ours makes it all the more meaningful to be involved. The Board were therefore happy to support the suggestion put forward by our colleague Colin Raffell who manages the Improving Lives account for WPS”.

“We are delighted that WPS have joined our business support group, the 110 Club, at improving Lives Plymouth. They have looked after many of our insurance needs for over quarter of a century, and they are a very welcome addition, as one of our founder members. The help that WPS, and the other 110 members give us, helps to help 17,000 people annually in Plymouth who need our assistance.” – Steve Whiteway, Resource Development Manage, Improving Lives Plymouth.

More Support

WPS has already successfully obtained a grant from Ecclesiastical Insurance Company to support the charity and our thanks go to them for their generosity also.
